問題を解くことに没頭するあまり、人々は自ら問いかけることを忘れがちである。特に、素直な子供ほどこうなる可能性があるだろう。問題を与えられ、それを正しく解くことだけに満足し、「正解だ」「一番だ」と誉められて喜びを感じてしまうケースも多い。ゲームなど多くがその典型ともいえる。それが間違っているという意味ではない。その問題を作ったのは誰なのか、その問題を自分たちに提示している仕組みは何か、という客観を持つことが重要なのであって、そこに一段高い視点が存在する。つまり、問題を解くまえに、その問題は何故生まれたのか、それを解くことの意味はなんなのか、問題自体が間違っている可能性はないのか、という問いかけが大切なのだ。
